Some self publishing groups do offer some public relations assistance.Both traditionally and self-published authors need to do a lot of the leg work themselves. so even if you do get a group to represent you still have work to do.Write a press release. It's not that hard to do there are lots of templates online. Include information about you and your book, maybe send a sample or a copy and include how you can be contacted for interviews. Send it to all of the stations in your area. If there is a community talk show send it there as well.
