Without cross ventilation (both an entry window and exit window) the evaporation will raise the relative humidity in the room and once it reaches above around 80% the ability to evaporate will become greatly reduced. If you can turn on an air conditioner or dehumidifier that might help because it will draw moisture from the air and allow the evaporation to continue.As for how long it will take generally anywhere from two hours to two days from best case to worst case depending on the above factors.
